CLASS! takes a field tip to
Greenspun Media Group: Desert
Pines High school freshman Karla Lopez (left), Las Vegas High School
sophomore Gregory Wingert (center) and CLASS! editor Stephanie Espinoza
(right) learn more about the publishing world by taking a tour of
Greenspun Media Group. CLASS! interns met with professionals in
advertising, editorial and public relations. They also got the
inside scoop on Greenspun Interactive and met the minds behind The Las
Vegas Sun's website. Big thanks to Rob Langrell for showing CLASS!
around Greenspun Media Group!

CLASS!
Visits UNLV:
The PAL (Partnership at Las
Vegas) interns of CLASS! help out in the CLASS! office every
Wednesday, earning school credit while they gain valuable career
experience. This semester, CLASS! was fortunate enough to have Las
Vegas High School juniors Stephanie De Leon (left) and Destynee S'che
Monae Knight (right). These two students took a tour of UNLV
and participated in a long-time UNLV
tradition--rubbing Hey Reb's mustache for luck! Not that these two
need luck. Destynee and Stephanie work on the calendar
and scholarship pages of CLASS! while also working on big feature
pieces. Be sure to look out for their bylines in upcoming issues!
CLASS!
Interns At Work:
Interns of CLASS! meet monthly to
brainstorm story ideas, take on assignments and to meet other students
with a passion for journalism. Though any high school student can
submit work to CLASS!, the interns of the publication take their
involvement a step further by putting in the extra time to help develop
their skills and help make CLASS! even better. To support CLASS!
programs, please go to http://www.classmag.com/donate.php
